Life feels like a rollercoaster;
Shut your eyes, then it’s over
Lost you in the crowd

Life feels like a rolling deadline
Fleeting like a tabloid headline
Weathervane, spinning turbine- Lost you like a cloud

Is my number still in your phone?
Is my coin still in the fountain?
Do you feel like a running joke?
Or a punchline that never landed?

We had our best talks in the kitchen
Planned out a new way of living
Somewhere that is more forgiving
Maybe you’re there now

But back then I was like a thrift store jigsaw—
Missing pieces, then I found ya
Now I need to ask around to
Know if you’re in town

Plastic dolls stacked in a pile
Zombies made of polyvinyl
